MEET YOUR DESIGNER
DANA DEMICK
Growing up in Florida, Dana found her first love in books, animals, avoiding the sun, and an early penchant for decorating. Her first design, dreamed up and brought to life when she was 12, was of her own bedroom and featured peach walls and a frilly violet canopy bed which she considered the height of sophistication.
She moved to North Carolina, the land of cool mountain breezes, to attend Davidson College where she received a bachelor’s degree in music and somehow made her peace with the fact that not all of North Carolina is mountainous and crisp.
A love for performance and dreams of stardom motivated a move to Nashville after graduation, but waiting tables turned out to be less glamorous than it sounded and she quickly returned “home” to Charlotte.
HOW WE GOT HERE
A winding path of story-forming jobs and experiences lead her to studying Interior Design at Queens College, a return-to-first-love of sorts, and in 2019 Bower Interiors was born.
With an emphasis on creating spaces filled with color, texture, original art, one-of-a-kind rugs, books (of course!), plants and luxury upholstery, Bower exists to make each client’s home as beautiful and storied as they are.
Dana still lives in Charlotte with The Husband, their three children, and the very best, most perfect golden doodle of all time. On her nightstand you can find 3-12 books, a sleep mask, and a glass of water.
